Yet another project for the Diecast Restoration Forum competition.
This time a bit more adventurous - a stretch mini limo.
The idea was based on a real limo -
but stretched a bit further (excuse the pun)
It started off with a Corgi Mini
This was taken apart and the body shell was cut in half just behind the door pillars.
The sides and roof were then extended using plastic card and car body filler to fill gaps and give shape.
The original windows were cut down and used for the front and blue plastic (top off a cream carton) used for the side oval windows and rear window .
This photos shows the model against a standard mini to show how much it was extended.
